I wiped tons of cutlery yesterday!
YOU'RE ANOREXIC/BULIMIC/WHATEVER ELSE/SOO SKINNY (not in a good way).
Haha, why am I so used to the comments! I invite all those people who are probably thinking about me like that in their minds to spend one day with me. Haha. Then you'll know =)
Let me re-call who says these to me:
- friends of my friends
- jon's mum (last time, now she knows that I'm very fearful of puking and I eat tons of chocolates)
- the person at the waxing place
- the minimart auntie?
- other random aunties (strangers) (they seem very willing to talk to me)
- whoever else
And my reply is very standardised, you should see my mummy, then you'll know why I'm so skinny. (if you didn't get the link, it's in the genes you dumb dumb) Then I whip out my bag and there is my (choose one depending on which one I have with me at that time) malteasers/fruitips/ribena sweets/cadbury milk choc bar/strawberry fruit plus.
Which brings me back to the point that I HAVEN'T BEEN EXERCISING SINCE erm.... December 2008. Haha. I keep promising myself to go tone up at the gym, and get some muscles (haha, muscles sound so funny). But firstly, I'm lazy to actually DRESS for the gym, then even more reluctant to GO to the gym, then I'm pure laziness to run on the treadmill, or try out all the other funny machines! I'm not very adventurous with gym equipment, they might drop on me and squash me, or I might look stupid using them the wrong way or sth. Hope I manage to convince myself to start going there one day soon =)
Why do so many people think I'm not local. Colleagues (I ACTUALLY HAVE COLLEAGUES=) think I'm either Jap or Korean, people in lifts have actually blabbered to me in Korean and I'm like HUH??? People in Bali says chotomatae to me. The bubble tea person asked me if I was Jap or korean. Hi, I'm Singaporean, and I'm chinese. Okay, maybe my eh, standard of chinese is eh, not very good? Some customer asked me what this dish contained, and how am I supposed to translate mussels, squids and some kind of funny sauce into chinese?!?! I said "you3 na4 ge4 ke2 de4 dong1 xi1, ke2 yi3 kai1 he2 guan1 de4" for the mussels, and then when I got to thinking about how to translate squid, all my brain was thinking was well, vulgarities. So I skipped squid and continued to translate veg, egg, rice and fish, which was so much easier. Like hello! I bet no one knows what mussels are called in chinese.
Oh, and I'm so afraid of balancing drinks on my tray. Luckily quite a lot of the customers are quite nice and can probably see that I'm super traumatised about it and doesn't rush me and helps me sometimes. Haha. Love nice customers =)
Working tmr again =)

Waitressing =)
I guess my first day at work was quite alright. Just that there are like ten million tables and table numbers! On the deck (beside the river), there are 3 sections, tables 9 to 15, 20 to 25, 30 to 38. Then in the lounge, there's tables 105 to 114, and 120 to 123 at the bar. another don't know how many (maybe 10?) tables in a place I call the "glass house" (I can't remember what's it's actually called), and tables 400 to 405 at the smoking area. That's a total of more than 50 tables! And delivering martini glasses is NO JOKE. I love martinis, but try 3 martini glasses on a tray, then you have to put coasters on the table first, then put one glass on the table at a time, all the time balancing all the martinis! WHY ARE THEY STEMS SO SKINNY! I fear for them everytime I take a step to deliver them to the tables. But it's quite fun too, like when we see the food coming out, we guess what it is and then figure which table it goes to! Imagine lots of spanish names like "patatas bravas", "chorizo fritos", "tostadas pesto. It's actually some potatoes and peppers, some sausages, and baguette with basil.
Oh, and they have the cool clock in and clock out machine thing. And we cannot be late because they'll cut our pay! Like $15 for the first 15 minutes etc, and since I'm not earning alot, it's actually more than 2 hours worth of pay! Haha, going to work later! 7pm to 1am!
AND GUESS WHAT. I just got my driving licence! The hard card one! So much better than the very un-professional and flimsy paper one that I didn't even bother carrying around =) Now, I'm a driver with the REAL driving licence thingy!!! One more card to carry around! (Not great for the wallet but great to have =)

It's going to be my First day at work today!
I have never worked (unless tuition or umpiring counts),
Never served anyone for pay,
Have not ever worn a skirt covering my knee!
I hope I don't screw up please!
I'm watching the show the biggest loser on AXN now, and it's so touching! Like people who are really obese, and they go on the show because they want to lose the weight, to live longer so that they can just stay with their family for more years and not die early. And they keep crying throughout the show, which makes me want to cry too =( Because they are like so selfless and they really resist the temptation to eat junk to continue on to their goal of losing weight, and when they do lose them at the weighing in, they look soooo happy! Back to the television =)
Will blog about my first day at work soon! =) SO SCARY.

I need a fringe-cut!
I haven't blogged since SUNDAY. Amazing. I actually had a post for Tuesday, but I saved it as draft and now, I don't think I'm going to post it!
Oh well, I'm going to Tampines soon, just to do a little exploration trip by myself. Lazy to call anyone, I need to squeeze out alone time since I've been erm, interacting (meeting? talking to?) with a lot of friends in this last week. Maybe I'll be able to find a hair salon to cut my fringe, there are after all 3 shopping malls to choose from, assuming 3 salons per mall, = at least 9 choices right! At most I'll go back to Hair Mechanics for their special chair that gives you a massage while they're washing your hair! The only problem is the what to wear part. I'm seriously sick of my wardrobe. I don't think I have a lot of clothes, do I? And I presently am not in a great shape financially. Haha, don't ask me how $1,199 became less than $700 in 3 weeks, not counting my credit cards.
And guess what. I GOT A JOB. Like a real one (tuition and umpiring so does not count okay). $7 an hour =) It's to supplement my bank account so I can shop more or something? Talking about shopping, someone is going to buy me my bag if I can find one that I like on Saturday =) =) =) So exciting!
We went to queue for Ben and Jerry's on free cone day! The queue at Cathay was on two levels, BUT it only took 15 - 20 minutes for one round! So in the end, Sihui, Yif and I went twice! Had vanilla for the first round and choc fudge brownie for the second! Free cone day is totally ingrained from my time in Vj. Been queueing probably since sec 3 or something!
Meet the v12 people on wed at marina and we made hell lot of noise at Waraku, but we had the private room, so we probably disturbed much less people then we could have =) Waiting for jom, van and trist to send photos! Oh ya, and I watched confessions too! It's really really really funny!! If you haven't watched it, GO CATCH THE LAST FEW SHOWS! I laughed my socks off!
Went to umpire Table tennis finals yesterday. We were supposed to just go watch the A'div and B'div finals, but haha, we got called for umpiring (I think thanks to carmen=). Pam and I umpired the A'div girls finals and it was supposed to be the most peaceful but also happened to be the longest. I think in the end it was quite alright? Except for the temptation to give yellow card to one of the coaches. I saw you pointing! But I was the assistant for that match, so oh well, just stared and stared at him to try to prevent him from doing it again?!?! Then had to rush to tuition because the one match took almost 3 hours.
This is a long wordy post. Next one will hopefully be pictureful =)

Wonderful =)
My father just ressurected my "crashed" computer hard disk! All my 15Gig of photos ARE BACK. I'm just so happy!!!
Zouk yesterday was quite fun =) Except my toes/legs are absolutely aching like shit. We (Ti fen and Pamela) only left at 4 am and bleah, we woke up at 7 something am after crashing my house. And I just gave tuition from 11am to 1pm, driven there and drove to get my lunch too =) Love driving. Been driving so much that it's starting to become more routined, my brain knows automatically what to look out for, etc. Haha, and I drive bare-footed =)
A few examples of how I'm not used to being a driver:
1. I couldn't open my car boot yesterday. (and my father had a good laugh at me on the phone, when I called him for help)
2. I keep walking towards the front passenger seat door instead of the driver's seat door.
3. I couldn't find my car today in the HDB car park at tampines.
4. I still don't know where is the high-beam switch in my mum's car.
5. I keep getting into dead-ends (3 to be exact) in very complicated HDB car parks today, and made many-point-turns.
6. I cannot remember to lock my car door!
I fetched Lilin and Pamela from tanah merah mrt to Delta Sport Hall in Tiong Bahru (And I drove through my very first expressway MASSIVE jam), we umpired for very good $$$. Then we drove to Zouk, met Tifen, got our stamps and drove back to my house to make-up and return the car cause my mummy doesn't allow me to drive to club for obvious reasons. I think it's quite justified anyway. I'll upload the pictures soon =)
After tuition, I drove around to Siglap to buy Macs for lunch and then drove back home. Haha, but not before missing a turn and ending up in Kembagan. Doesn't matter, now I know more roads and I'm not afraid of U-turns. So it's fine =) Driving is really fun!! Especially since my mum's beatle is damn small and zippy, just zip around and can anyhow park.
Maybe I'll drive again tonight to dinner! lalalalala. And maybe tmr, if I'm going to church I think!

Orange triangle
I got home from shopping at vivo with bimbo tan. Bought cheap stuff! A F21 dress costs only $33! Amazing right! I thought F21 normally is like $49 or higher, quite shocked when I saw the prices, tops were like $28, and they weren't even one sale. Also bought a pair of grey jeans from Zara, $59.90, see, I told you I don't buy expensive stuff! Super tired by the time we finished shopping, with bimbo tan buying an $13 F21 belt and a River Island "pyjamas" top. Haha.
The surprise was when I got home. I saw I had two letters. The first, a super long long long list of my ten million transactions with my DBS card since 11 January 2009. Haha. Then the next, a letter from NTU. Letter of acceptance to Nanyang business school for Business degree. Can slowly decide because the deadline is 1st June. I think I'm really not ready to start school =( I think life now is just fine. Don't want to start studying all over again!!! Apparently start date is 11 August =( Hopefully SMU Law accepts me, if they don't, I might have to decide between the Business Schools (unless if SMU biz doesn't accept me either). My mummy just says thank god for SIA that I won't go there to haunt them. Bleah. Oh well. Somewhere actually wants me, guess it's good to know =)
Okay, 2 posts in a day! haha.

I need a little more luck than a little bit
Yesterday my dad scolded my doggie for biting his shoes, and my little baby was so scared he was shivering! Poor little doggie, had to go console him and hug him for quite awhile before coaxing him to go sleep last night. He had his little tail right between his legs, like it was super glued there! When I scold him for excessive barking, all he does is shake his tail very vigoriously and continue barking, except this time, it's barking at me. I'm so not pack leader material. He's really smart and at the same time, really silly sometimes. Two days ago he was eh-hmm "emo". Haha. He sat on the grass in the garden and just let the heavy rain come down on him, without moving okay! Just sit and stone in the rain. Until I saw him and quickly got him to come in and talk to me. But after telling him not to go in the rain, he just went back to his spot! He's had an emo day.
Off to shopping later =)
Oh, and tongue tied is by faber drive. Haha.

MUAHAHA.
I bet many of you probably didn't think it was possible, but yes, TINA LEU HAS PASSED THE CLASS 3 DRIVING TEST. Haha. On my FIRST TRY! Lalala. Aren't you all so bloody proud of me! Okay, fine, it wasn't clear cut pass. I was doing my directional change, and I'm quite sure I (haha) mounted the curb when turning out. I very anyhow with turning one, I go by feeling, and feeling is (haha) only wrong 1 out of 50 times? The car move up means mount the curb right? When I went up, I faster brake then gave a very sad face and asked the tester if I mount the curb is it? Then he said "No, just strike curb only". So I continue driving forward, then the car went down (so I obviously mounted right?) But throughout the rest of the test all perfect. So I thought confirm die one, because even if he count as strike curb only, is already 10 points! Sitting down at the testers office waiting for my tester to print my results was a super nerve-wrecking experience. Then he told me that I striked the curb during directional change, so next time turning must be careful, and said that I passed! Wah, happiest moment. After all the briefing of my mistakes, he gave me my results slip, AND GUESS WHAT! He didn't even write the strike curb thing! Instead it was 4 points, for not conforming to safety during directional change. In the end, I got 14 points, because he say I didn't care enough about the pedestrians. Haha. He also said that since he thinks I can control the car VERY well, and is quite safe, so he's letting me pass. He's so nice! I like him! I have good driving skills okay! That's all =)
Then I just got home from driving my dad's SUV, Mazda CX7. Haha. My first car ride as a QUALIFIED DRIVER! It's like driving a tank! Super big/high! You tower over lots of other cars and you can't really see much of the road. I fetched him to the Shell Petrol station at simpang to buy 12 cans of coke, 5 ice creams and 1 packet of strepsils. I didn't kill anyone or bang anything! And I have officially stuck all 4 probationary plates onto the cars =) Yays! I'm so happy!
I'm going to fetch Jon when he gets back from tekong on the 24th! Hehe, and he doesn't know, but I'm going to surprise him by bringing him to eat his expensive steak (either white rabbit, prime society or mortons) and celebrate our tenth monthsery at the same time. My poor boyfriend is complaining about army food. Haha. Too little meat, not tasty, not enough time to eat, etc.
Go listen to this song! Tongue-tied by faber hills or something like that!

Pulau Tekong
I left my boyfriend in tekong yesterday =( So sad. Now I'm boyfriend-less =( When I went with my family to eat at cafe cartel for dinner yesterday night, I couldn't cut my st. louis pork ribs =( because I never had to dissect them myself, Jon always did it for me all into bite-sized pieces without any fatty meat hanging on them. It's so weird that no one is fighting with me for every strand of linguine side-dish =( Bleah. Okay, I'll stop whinning. I'm waiting for him to call now. That's all I can do every night. Wait for call from 930pm onwards =(
On to lighter things, before the enlistees took their oath to eh-hmm, protect Singapore, the BMTC school commander said this to them.
Commander: Enlistees!
Guys: YES SIR! (very fiercely)
Commander: Ok, tonight when you get your personal administration time at 9 plus, I want every one of you to NOT call your girlfriends first, BUT call your parents FIRST. Can you do that?
Guys: *2 second pause* Er, yes sir?!?! (very half-heartedly)
At this moment I burst out laughing, it was so damn funny can! The second "yes sir" was super unconvincing and very unwilling?!?! Haha, then the commander obviously wasn't satisfied with the response and made them answer him again, this time, the "YES SIR" was like the first one. Haha. I bet they were lying.
Oh ya, and now, my
soccer boy NS guy has no hair again. So funny. Now he saves so much time cause he don't need to spend 20 mins just making his hair (takes longer than I do). So much more efficient like last time.
And my driving test is tmr morning at 1145am!
I hope I pass
I hope I pass
Please Please Please
Don't do anything funny!

Yesterday
Let's just say yesterday was an extremely "what-the-hell" day.
I had SMU law inteview at 915am to 1045am, then umpiring at 2pm-4pm, went to SSDC to surprise jon at 430pm (HE PASSED HIS DRIVING =), next to tampines for tuition from 7pm to 9pm, finally to O bar.
I arrived at O bar in a VERY VERY BAD MOOD. (because I was crazily tired, didn't want to injure my toe nail again, didn't know I was supposed to go till in the afternoon, among a few other reasons not to be mentioned) And can I say, I left O bar as a very busy person. I was obviously even more tired when I eventually went home at around 4 plus 5.
So not very good mood when I left my house with my hair still half-wet (which makes my mood worse) at 1pm this afternoon to go Bishan, (made me more grumpy cause it's so far and I was wet in the rain) and I somehow happened to see Maho at the station?!?! He made me feel extremely guilty cause I apparently forgot to wish him happy birthday. I SWEAR I FORGOT. I feel damn guilty, so sorry maho! =)
Anyway, then went taka at 6pm and only got home at around 9 plus pm when I realised that there are more things to be done. My brother is apparently very sick from I don't know what, and my mummy is super worried, my father is sleeping from exhaustion from golf. Then my boyfriend is going to enlist at 2pm tmr. It feels funny. Will be soo weird not having him around on weekdays.
Then I have driving test on monday.
I hope SMU Law accepts me. PRETTY PLEASE.
As well as the other unis also.
Okay, I'm damn tired and I still have to go bishan early, then go tekong and back to eh-hmm, MAINLAND Singapore.
Update when I actually feel not so stoned.

Now and again.
Okay, so I have only been updating about really random stuff and nothing about what I have been doing. So well, what am I doing? I'm going to Merchant court very soon to have a buffet dinner. Why? Because Jon says he needs to eat buffet before he goes into army. Haha. Talking about army, how do I feel about my boyfriend going to enlist this coming Saturday? Hmmm, I don't know? I think it hasn't sunk in, and oh well, guess it's work (umpiring), then going out with friends, increased frequency of clubbing, and stoning at home watching very overdue dramas. And my driving test is on the 13th of April. My fav number, haha, then maybe I can start driving all around! But first, I need to go take a nice photo for my POTENTIAL driving license, then I won't have to use my very fugly IC when I go clubbing (the bouncers take many looks at the IC) or whatever else. HA. My Sec 5 tutee is going to have mid-year exams soon, =( super lots of hard-core teaching going along now. So, I'm basically more free on weekdays from 11th april onwards, potentially VERY FREE, this is so saddening, HAHA.

Pure torture
I was JUST about to blog something about how the weather was becoming better, and then, when I walked home from tuition today, I CHANGED MY MIND.
I WAS LIKE THE BUTTER ON A VERY HOT BAKED POTATO IN A VERY HOT OVEN.
Okay, if you didn't get what that meant, it just mean it was very very very very very hot.
Now, I want to vote to change the phrase "global warming" to "GLOBAL BOILING". Sounds some sort of the same but show the critical state of hotness. And not, I don't mean that kind of hot.
And can I add that I think I got tanned sitting in bus 31 from some part in tamp to my house. I once got sun-burn from taking a bus ride for about half an hour due to erm, the sun la! What else.
Blog again when I get back from dinner. Stupid sun, stupid global boiling.
SUPPORT ME AGAINST GLOBAL BOILING.
BEFORE YOU ALL GET BOILED TOO.
