Just wondering...

What on earth do people who are alone do every day??!?! I'm not complaining, just wondering. Lucky I am the kind who can laze the whole day away as long as I have an almost unlimited food/drink supply. Okay, maybe I actually have stuff to do. I have to go with my mum to get a new fridge and cupboards tomorrow,gym, read my insurance textbook so that I won't be totally clueless during my internship, send more sponsorship emails for Law Bash 2012, watch my endless flow of telly dramas (still not done with The Vampire Diaries and barely half way through The Big Bang Theory), shop online, go to work... Oh that reminded me, I'm starting pro-bono work at the Subordinate Courts on the 18th of June and then a two week internship right after! Plus I'm clubbing this Friday! Well, not so boring life after all. Haha.

Finally got on to do initial planning for GRAD TRIP 2013!! =D #EXCITES As of now, I have kind of decided on Morocco (to camp in the desert/oasis) --> Spain --> Portugal --> France (for shopping!) Let me show you a map of the area!

To tell you the truth, I never really knew where on earth Morocco was, just that I saw this amazing sounding travel package about taking camel rides into the desert and camping there in super-luxe tents having a bbq! So I had to google: "Where is Morocco?" I know it sounds stupid but I bet at least half of you do not know where Morocco was too! So now FYI, Morocco is in the continent of Africa, it is the left tip of Africa and is SUPER DUPER near Spain! In my mind, Morocco to Spain sounds as if you're traveling from Singapore to Malaysia. Plus looking at the map of the world, I learnt of a new country! MAURITANIA! It kind of sounds like a fake country, but hey, I trust that the world map is right! Okay back to my awesome camel rides!

LOOKS SO FUN AND EXOTIC HUH! Can't wait! My brother just told me that camel rides are damn uncomfortable and my mum chimed in about how I don't have enough flesh at my butt area to cushion myself, BUT NVM, I bring my own cushion to sit on the camel okay! Apparently, after much research, there are different stuff you can do in the desert: Sand surfing down the sand dunes, have a drum party and sing songs (like HUH?!?!), stay and interact with nomad families, explore the oasis, etc.

Okay hold on, just realized that there is no flight from Singapore to Morocco!! WHY. Okay no all is gone, apparently what the travel agencies do instead is to put Morocco in the middle of the trip! So maybe its Spain-->Morocco-->Portugal-->France instead! Tons more research to be done!

As promised... BKK Photos

I've been trying very hard to upload the 400+ photos from my Bangkok/Phuket trip but stupid iPhoto is going crazy so I'm still missing around 50+ photos on Facebook. Argh. Will attempt to fix it tomorrow. It's really quite irritating in times like these when my MacAir has no SD card slot, and my MacPro is still functioning on Leopard OS (slow and less functional).

So, I went off to Bangkok on 20th May, last Sunday! Sherry and I worked the night before and had barely enough sleep before heading off for our flight at 1055am!

Day 1 (Sunday, 20th May 2012) - Chatuchak Weekend Market,

We had to take a shuttle bus to get from the plane to the airport.

At BKK's airport, going off to find a taxi! MY PRETTY PINK POLKA LUGGAGE BAG =D

On the taxi to our hotel! We stayed at Budacco Hotel that is in between Baiyoke Sky and Baiyoke Suites. It still a walkable distance to Platinum Mall but it is definitely not as wonderful as Grand Diamond! Grand Diamond is RIGHT BESIDE Platinum and are all suites!

At Chatuchak! We went with two of Sherry's friends! Li Li and Serene! =D

After that, we headed off to Siam Paragon to buy shoes! Bought two pairs of Jeffrey Campbells! Then it was dinner at Fuji Japanese Restaurant! It's super good and super cheap at the same time! "EAT LIKE A KING" This is what I ate the last time I was in BKK too! Sliced beef on hotplate! SUPER DAMN GOOD.

This is all that we ordered! The gyozas were great too!!

Then we stumbled upon... KRISPY KREME. One of my regrets cause I only got to eat two donuts! KRISPY KREME IS LOVE. I really like the original glazed and surprisingly, the cookies and cream chocolate!

Day 2 (Monday, 21st May 2012) - Platinum Mall, Central World Mall
The plan was to conquer the whole of Platinum Mall in a day and we did!

After killing it at Platinum, we went to Central World! Our friend told us to head to Cupcake Love at level 7 to try their red velvet and ultimate chocolate cupcake!!

The cream is HEAVENLY plus the cupcake was fluffy! SUPER GOOD! But the price is essentially the same as if you had gotten the cupcakes in Singapore.

Day 3 (Tuesday, 22nd May 2012) - Pratunam Market, Krung Tong Plaza, Union Mall, Platinum Mall

This is my angry bird fan that I bought from Chatuchak! Totally helped to beat the incredible heat in BKK. Heart angry birds! ONLY THE RED ONE THOUGH!

Day 4 (Wednesday, 23rd May 2012) - Lunch at Platinum Mall

Sherry and I went to Platinum's food court for the second time and we ate exactly what we did the previous time! BEEF NOODLES FOR ME. This time I took lots of photos of the stall! It's the 1st stall of the food court. Don't order the stewed beef because it is quite tough! Get the sliced beef with beef balls!! =D TO DIE FOR.

I realize that I hardly ever take photos in BKK because it was all about shopping!! Hehe, on a side note, I BOUGHT AT LEAST 6 MORE OF MY FLORAL DRESSES! (see day 1's dress that was bought last year!) =D SUPER HAPPY! All in the same cutting just different florals/solid colours on the dresses! Heart those dresses!

More backdated photos!

2nd May 2012 (Wednesday)

I notice the trend of how I lately only ever club on Wednesdays if I even get to club at all. HAHA. Head off to B/u/t/t/e/r first for drinks then over to Zouk for Phuture!

Tray of sour plum shots! =D I must have drank only two or three plus whatever loose drinks I had at B, but I still ended up really high and had to camp out at the Velvet counter halfway because I felt like puking. HAAH. This is why I don't drink/only drink very little! Didn't do any puking in the end though! =D It was a super fun night and we actually stayed on till 350am (cause I find it very weird when all the lights in Phuture comes on at 4am!)! Tifen and I were the only survivors who managed to make it to Swee Choon for supper though! The rest either already went home or had to work the next day?!!? HAHA. That would be one of Tricia's friends. HOW TO LEAVE AT 4AM AND GO TO WORK AT 7AM?!!??

Random picture of my house's garden. My family (or should I say my mum) decided to say bye bye to the grass/sand and replaced it with wooden planks instead! Super love it now because I no longer need to fear that I might step on a worm or something!

3rd May 2012 (Thursday)

Eugene, Vinay and I have been gyming together every Thursday! Haha, but although our sessions might be effective, we always end up eating supper after! The previous week we had Sin Hoi Sai at East Coast Road, this time we went to Changi Airport's Quiznos! Never had it before but it was quite nice! I would now like to declare that PEPPERONI ROCKS YOUR SOCKS OFF. Haha.

4th May 2012 (Friday)

WE WENT BACK TO VJ FOR LUNCH. THE WEATHER WAS SO HOT. ALMOST MELTED.

Haha, okay, but the company was good so it wasn't that bad. The food was obviously cheap but didn't seem as nice as last time.

This is a very gross ice cream that flops around when partially melted. Never understood why they like it so much. Haha.

Then we went off in search of air-conditioning and managed to crash LT3! HAHA. We also managed to scare off 3 VJ students who were just casually hanging out in the LT before we arrived!

VJ has now installed mirrors outside every toilet! WHY DIDN'T THEY HAVE THIS LAST TIME. Haha.

LT5! Fond memories of ponning lots of lectures here. HAHA.

We then headed over to Udders at East Coast Road to cool down.

Waffles were surprisingly cheap! $2.90 for the waffle alone! Yum yum.

Okay, shall go back to drafting sponsorship letters. L/a/w B/a/s/h is killing me.
