Few weeks back - I got into a car accident (I'm fine and my car is fine) Last week - Someone rammed into my Dad's car in China (He's fine, the car is not) Last night - My mother scratched the SUV while driving into the porch -_- (HAHA, my dad is so going to kill her) WHY SO MANY CAR ACCIDENTS?!?!? Every car we own has got into some kind of mess in November. HAHA.
You know I'm serious when I whip out a calculator for shopping. HAHA. Solestruck's Black Friday Sale is insane!! 50% off sales items!!! Sherry, Tifen and I waited till Sunday because 30% and 40% doesn't feel good enough when the shoes that you want to get are wants and not needs! HAHAHA. BUT 50% off is simply irresistible! Like hello, where will you ever find Jeffrey Campbell shoes under 100USD? Paid more than 250SGD for my JC Str8ups a year ago and now they are less than 100SGD on Solestruck!?!? HAHAH. Have been wanting shoes with spikes/nails in them for awhile so I finally satisfied my wish!
Bought: (The Gilly is not mine!)
Simply could not decide between the pink and blue Foxy Spike so I got both! PLEASE LOOK AT THE PRICES. HAHAAH. 60USD each?!?!!?? AHAHAHAHAHH. SUPER HAPPY. I hope the Lancer isn't too uncomfortable! If anyone tries anything nasty while I'm clubbing, I'll be sure to kick you with my spikes =D
BACK TO STUDYING RIGHT NOW. HAVE WASTED ENOUGH TIME ON THIS =D
Second night in a row that I'm back to sleeping in my own bed. Can't tell you how wonderful it feels =) With the air-conditioning set at really cold and my toes sticking out of my comforter to freeze =) Just spent almost two hours watching the AMA 2012! Taylor Swift's "I Knew You Were Trouble" performance was jaw-droppingly good! I am biased because I already loved that song before I saw the performance but now it's just OMG.
- Bring thicker jacket because SMU's air-conditioning system is way too powerful - Buy new clothes for the upcoming festive season - Decide on which other bracelet to get - Bring more food for tomorrow's mugging session - Eat the Kenny Roger's corn muffin in the fridge
Was about to ramble on about how terrible this week is going to be because of impending finals but I found more stuff was unpublished. So here goes! Essentially saving everyone from all the complaining that I was going to do! Restaurant Week Part 1 (maybe Wednesday?)
- Choupinette with Liesel, Vinay and Eugene =)
So the four of us went to have lunch at this cafe along Bukit Timah Road (reminds me of how I do not like driving on Bukit Timah Road)! Angeline was supposed to come too but she was sick on that day! We were originally disappointed with their restaurant week menu because we thought their dinner menu was the one for lunch? Their lunch menu consisted of Soup of the Day (potato and leek soup, if my memory did not fail me), Eggs Benedict and either Creme Brulee or Chocolate Mousse for dessert! There's no doubt as to what I chose for dessert! CREME BRULEE FTW. I never ever pass up a chance to gobble up some creme brûlée! There is absolutely no such thing as being too full to have creme brulee =D Choupinette has lots of puffs/desserts/breads/etc, it's really more of a cafe than a restaurant, which we originally thought it was.
Was munching on Jagabee chips on the way there because I didn't wake up in time for breakfast and was starving.
This poorly taken picture is here to show how over-priced the creme brulee is. Bistro Du Vin serves better and cheaper ones!
Liesel and I with the baskets of bread in the background =)
Vinay and Eugene looking happy!
Potato and leek soup. I never tried leek soup before but it tasted pretty good besides the fact that it's slightly on the watery side. Is leek soup supposed to be watery?
Our Eggs Benedict! It looks little but it is actually very filling! Yum yum!
Liesel was the only one who ordered chocolate mousse for dessert!
I don't know whether to be happy or sad to say this, shopping really does help to combat some unhappiness. Yes, like people always say, shopping/retail-therapy is not enough to make you 100% happy, BUT, it sure does help that you have nice things to wear and look at when you're stressed =) I don't think I can ever study happily while looking at chipped nail polish on my fingers. HAHA. Finally bought the pearl bracelet that I have been dreaming about from Tiffany and Co. today! I'm removing four pearls because the bracelet is way to long plus getting the back of the heart tag engraved with my name =) Engraving at Tiffany is really reasonably priced! $5 for six letter or less! I'm also going to take the extra pearls to be set into earrings to make the full use of them =) Thinking of getting them done like this: (got these pictures from googling so I'm not sure if these patterns can be done)
Have been to the same Starbucks so often that the staff recognize me now. HAHA. It's always a Grande/Venti English Breakfast Iced Tea =) Then followed with a Deep Dish Beef Pie later! I'm super tempted to buy another tumbler because they are all so pretty and my mummy keeps using the two that I already have hence leaving me with ZERO to use. Okay, back to Shipping readings! Let's go crazy crazy crazy till we see the sun I know we only met but let's pretend it's love...
I'm amused that I still have pictures from so long ago that I have not uploaded! These were from a Ferarri F1 Party during the Singapore GP week! Haha, I guess that's a Thursday night sometime in mid-September? It was held in a new Spanish restaurant called Cataluna @ Fullerton. To tell you the truth, I didn't even know that it was a Ferrari party until the Ferrari drivers (Alonso and Massa?) walked in. HAHAAHH. BIG OOOPS. I even stood right beside Massa and was still wondering why people kept asking this guy to take pictures.
There was a rooftop bar!
The door gift was a 4GB wristband thumbdrive!! It's such a novelty!
Karei and I were having a mid-party prep session in the hotel's restroom!
Red came late so Karei and I had to go introduce him to the awesome tapas that were available! TRUFFLE ON HOT TOAST. FOIE GRAS. SOME DONT-KNOW-WHAT-BUT-TASTE AWESOME SALAD.
There was even a booth where we could take photos and get free printouts!! =)
Then the Ferrari drivers came and everyone was so excitedly snapping pictures?!?!? Haha. Didn't go squeeze with everyone because I don't think they are very handsome, etc. AHHA. I think I have quite a few more pictures from that night but I either looked really high/drunk or I was really high/drunk when I took them, hence not posting them here! HAHA. Spoil image!
Lilin dropped by Zouk one weekend for her University Bash!! =D Haven't seen her in AGES. It was followed up by a wonderful "reunion dinner" the week after, where the four of us (Lilin, Pamela, Tifen) met up for the first time in more than a year!
Just found more pictures but I'm too lazy to caption them! Shall leave them till next time! Just watched Skyfall today! It really good! Especially think that the transitions were really believable! Shall say no more!! Go watch it! =D
