Re: Complaint to SBS Transit on Poor Driving Skills of a Bus Driver
The day before, I was on Bus No. 9 travelling from Loyang Ave to Tanah Merah from 7:15 to 7:50pm when i experienced a terrible bus ride.
The driver of bus SBS 0033 had poor driving skills as he kept stepping on the pedal and then releasing it almost right after, causing the whole one-decker bus to jerk non-stop, also, he stopped at a completely deserted bus-stop when no one had pressed the bell, before driving off at a very slow speed. I personally feel that the speed was no more then 40km/h at any given time, and because of that, we stopped at at least a dozen traffic lights causing the bus journey to be extended from the normal 20 to 25mins to 35mins.
Then came the sinking feeling. I actually saw another Bus 9 at the back and soon, it overtook us, at that moment i seriously felt like i had to get off the bus and walk home or something of that sort.
In conclusion, i suggest SBS Transit should review each driver's driving skills at least once in two years or Singapore's transport system would no longer be efficient.
I appreciate all that your company would do to help ease myself from this incident. Thank you very much.
