Some things aren't always like you thought it is
My computer has decided to something like crash. Don't know if you can really call it crash since on the CPU is crazy, but I think my hard disk is still well and happy. Then after my computer bailed on me almost 1 week ago, my stupid broadband decided to fail too. So now there are 3 laptops and 1 desktop in my house WITHOUT internet. It's horrible okay. You only know what you had when you don't have it anymore. So to plan our dinner outing for yesterday, a very desperate me decided to go to Changi Airport T3 Macs to use the internet. Didn't want to bother anyone early in the morning with "Can I come to your house to use your internet? Pretty please." I spent almost an hour on the computer there and after research, I ordered myself a Mcnuggets student meal. And the guy didn't even check for my student pass! Okay, I cheated, I wore Vj house tee and adiddas shorts to the airport, so I still look student-like =) Anyway, at the moment, I hate Starhub, cause they are really slow and useless. I called their call centre around lunch time yesterday, and they said they'd get their technical people to call me back to fix the problem, but HELLO, it's almost 24 hours, and like anyone can guess, they obviously haven't called at all. That's why I have to actually do facebook, upload photos, blog, all from other people's computer. And if they don't call by today, I'm so going to call them and some sort of scold them. They are slower than snail mail for goodness sake! And try living without your own internet!
So yesterday to celebrate Jon's birthday, we went to a restaurant called Uluru at Duxton Hill for a nice dinner. The soups were fantastic! Only had two types, Jon had the pumpkin soup while I had the tomato soup. Very yummy okay! Lots of flavours and definitely didn't come from any can or carton. It better not have, since each bowl cost $14. Haha. But the soup is really great, must order! Then he had his usual carnivorous choice of angus steak which costs scarily too, and then since it was apparently happy hour, got a cocktail too. The service was wonderful, and the waitress really knew her stuff and was very attentive. And the place was practically empty, probably because their main takings are from weekday lunches and weekend dinners. So quite nice and romantic and there was a candle too but I didn't burn any menus! UOB and Citibank cards both had 15% discount but couldn't let my father see the bill, if not he'll chop my head clean off. Will upload the picures soon =)
Life has been hectic with two parties in 1 week and lots of buying and errand running and job-finding, I'm so tired and I actually lost 80% of my voice. Haha. But now it's 70% back so happier now =)
Be back soon.
