You know, good friends are really friends who look out for one another, and especially in the bad times. I thought I had good friends who would do so for me in school, but now, I think not. Yup, I know in university, there are a lot of hi-bye friends, people who might smile at you but are not really so happy to see you, I heard lots of horror stories. So when I actually went to university, I didn't really expect to manage to find new good friends. I know I'll always have the good friends from before who would be willing to do almost anything for me, as I would for them. Then I met some people in uni, and after awhile, I really started to think that these people could really be good friends who look out for each other. You know, people in uni are selfish people, myself included. We try to get the "best" timeslots, "best" week to do presentation, "best" people to join our groups. But I thought that when you meet the right people, people that become your good friends, that selfishness disappears and you start to think about these other people too. Yup, no person can be perfect, you are not expected to love every bit of that good friend of yours, your good friend might not be the best person, but guess what? You accept that person all the same. But oh well, I was wrong. The fun times and the laughter are important, but not nearly as important as the things you do when shit happens. I'm not pissed, I'm just really disappointed. The very good friends I thought that I had in uni, doesn't seem to have ever existed at all.
