Sunday, February 06, 2011 Simple conversation to complicated thoughts
Feel quite strange, just now while the bf was driving me to grab an oreo mcflurry from the macs at ECP, we started talking about $$$. That kind of really got me thinking about some stuff regarding $$$. I strongly dislike owing anyone $$$, I really feel really uneasy whenever so. Like if I don't have enough cash on me right now and there's no atm around, etc, and I'm going I-bank or return the $$ the next day, I STILL FEEL SUPER UNEASY. Then digging deeper into those feelings, I realized that when it comes to $$$, I really am quite an independent person. If I buy expensive stuff or food, I do pay for them myself. Even when I go out and eat with the bf, go on dates etc, we take turns paying and everything, so adding up, I probably pay for about 30%-40% of whatever we spend together. The occasional gift or a present for Christmas and other festive seasons not being included. I realized I really love being able to decide what I want to buy and buy it by myself. For example, maybe I want to buy face powder, I can decide whether to buy a $30 bodyshop one or $80 one from chanel and totally not feel bad or indebted if I decided to buy the $80 powder in the end. I do not have to ask people to buy it for me and see if the person is willing to buy it for me or not. Haha. I really love my independence in this aspect. If I want it, and I can afford it, I buy it. Simple. This brings me to my point. Haha, I think I better earn enough $$$ for myself in the future, plus I think I can never be a tai-tai because that means living off someone else and I probably have to be accountable to someone else for whatever I decide to spend on.
On a lighter note, WE WENT TO SURPRISE VINAY TODAY BECAUSE IT WAS HIS BIRTHDAY. Haha.
