Il-Lido Lunch + Lilin's 21st Birthday Celebration!
9th July 2011 (Saturday)
The Il-Lido lunch at Sentosa Golf Club is backdated! We bought the coupons for it and it was expiring, so we had to scramble to use them a few days before they expired! The BF chose to sit outside (I would never have chose that because I absolutely CANNOT stand the heat) cause he thought the view would be nice! And I must admit that although it was slightly hot (not unbearable), the view was much nicer than if we had sat inside! I think it would be much better if they had installed the fans with the cool mist function instead of just normal fans! But no complaints from me!
We had the set lunch! They have the set lunch all the time I think, just that our coupons gave us a slight discount on the price!
This was given as compliments from the chef. I can't seem to recall what exactly it was, but I know it's cheese on top of a cherry tomato! The BF swiftly ate his and then went to on eat mine! But I don't eat tomatoes anyway! =)
Every table gets a complimentary basket of toasted bread. The bowl is SOOOO PRETTY. Reminds me of reindeer antlers/Christmas time! The bread was a little TOO toasted.
Me acting cool with my sunglasses! I did a quick survey of the other tables and it seems like everyone was having their whole meal with their sunglasses on! (Spy on the guy behind my head! Shiny sunglasses on!)
Okay, after I took the picture, I realized it is not representative of the beautiful scenery at all. THIS DOES NOT DO JUSTICE AT ALL.
So the appetizer was either Tomato Soup or some Prawn something. I picked the tomato soup cause I wasn't really listening to the waiter explain about the Prawn thing, but I totally regretted when I saw the next table eating the Prawn thing. I think it was some kind of Prawn Salad. LOOKS SUPER NICE. Tomato soup was so so. I can get better soup elsewhere!
This is my sliced tenderloin! SUPER YUMMY =) But super not filling either!
BF had the cheese pasta!
Me looking really uncool adjusting my act-cool-sunglasses.
And this is the dessert! It's some kind of Tiramisu jelly thing! I kept shaking my plate and asking the BF to look at my super wobbly dessert! SUPER FUN. LIKE EARTHQUAKE! Okay, I don't know why I found it so fun! I kept doing it through the whole of the dessert! I wonder how the BF stands me! Haha.
17th July (Sunday)
Then now for pictures from TODAY (not the newspaper ah)! Lilin at her 21st at Food For Thought @ Queen Street! I seriously wonder how come it is soooo near my school and I never knew of its existence! Started off being really sleepy and hungry because I only had 4 hours of sleep. I have no idea why I was that hungry since I happily gobbled up a whole box of beehoon after work at 4+ am. I shall warn you first that the theme was COLOUR BLOCK, and vjtt has a very good reputation of keeping to party themes (see tifen's birthday)! So we are extremely colourful!
Ordered House Works but change the salad and toasted thing to bread roll and garlic mushrooms! THE SCRAMBLED EGG IS AMAZING. THE HASHBROWNS (round things at the right) ARE SUPER GOOD.
I was trying to be artistic hence a shot of the ceiling! HAHA.
Told you that we were extremely colourful with our COLOUR BLOCK theme!
Love this paparazzi-like shot to bits!
Anyway, this is what the BF messaged me just now after he brought beanie home with him! I think the both of them are just soo adorable X a mill! =D
