31st January 2013 (Monday) - Brother's Celebratory Dinner at Chjimes

My brother won 1st place in both individual and team events at the Asian Fencing Championships (or something like that) in Brunei and had a day in Singapore before having to fly off for another competition in Hong Kong! So we had a quick celebration at Gyu-Kaku! Went there a few times before and the bbq meat there is TO DIE FOR. Soft plus great marination and sauces!

Everyone was given a bib (haha like in Jumbo!)!

Obviously we could not resist taking a picture with the bibs on! I think my mother even brought one of them home! I think I was the only one who wore it for almost the whole dinner!

My brother is now an alcoholic. Beer to vodka to baileys to god-knows-what-else-he-drinks.

After our trip to Seoul last December where we had Korean BBQ every day, we have now established that the nicest part to have for a Korean/Japanese BBQ is the rib!! So we ordered a plate of large tare short rib! Tare is their best-selling marination! =) SUPER DAMN GOOD. Plus they have a sweet brown sauce and rock salted for you to dip you meat in too!

We also ordered the Gyu-Kaku Special Pork Plate because my mother + brother wanted to eat pork and we couldn't figure out which part was good! Don't order the P-Toro unless you like thicker and chewy pork (hated it)!

3rd February (Sunday) - Liesel's Stageit Play

Went with Vinay, Angeline and Pei Hwa to watch a play that Liesel was performing in! Everyone who acted in it did a really good job! =) Chewed on gummy bears throughout the show because it was dinner time!

Later we headed off to Sin Hoi Sai @ Katong for dinner/supper! We were all starving by the time we reached there because it was almost 11pm and we were dinner-less. See the black hokkien mee in the pink plate? THAT ONE IS SUPER AWESOME. I ate the whole plate by myself! MUAHHAHA. The rest of them had yi mian and sambal fried rice while we all shared the fried you tiao (which is also wonderful!) and sweet and sour pork!

5th February (Tuesday)

Went shopping right after Confi Law class! Had to go get presents but I ended up buying a pair of black Aldo heels because I just found out that while taking the Part B courts (bar exam), we have to wear formal attire?!?!?!? So it was really not a frivolous buy okay! Also bought a travel book for Spain!

Went in to club after work on Wednesday and stayed till the lights came on! HAHA. Haven't done so for so long but it was super fun! No need to squeeze on the dance floor where there are a ton of guys + wonderful music = TGIW. Hopefully I'll be able to take off next Wednesday (we are currently short of guys) to club!

Finally got my long-awaited bag on Wednesday!
