Restaurant Week (October 2013)
Went to Absinthe for Restaurant Week dinner after class just now! The ambience is really nice and decor is really interesting! I can only imagine how nice the private rooms are for birthday parties and what-not! The food was good too but I obviously will not spend that amount of money for frequent/normal meals! I was just telling the BF about the mozzarella balls that Liesel, Angeline and I had yesterday at Latteria Mozzarella for Restaurant Week lunch! There were 3 types of mozzarella balls - with avocado puree, fried with a batter with a tomato-based sauce, wrapped in parma ham. I imagined that the one wrapped in parma ham would be the best tasting one, BUT NO. HAHA. The cheapest-looking one, fried in matter with a tomato-based sauced, was actually the best tasting mozzarella ball! I went on to check their menu and yes, it was really one of the cheaper mozzarella balls on their menu! BUT IT WAS DELICIOUS. Apparently, the ones on their a la carte menu are almost the size of tennis balls! I simply cannot wait to have another one! Will still be heading off to Parsley & Thyme (Friday) and Capricci (Saturday) for Restaurant Week big-eat-out! Hope they both turn out good!
